This is a resource forum for locksmiths of all types, with a discussion area available as well. Its main focus is on locksmiths with an interest in institutions and their welfare, security and well-being, but all locksmiths are welcome here if they play nicely and behave themselves reasonably (in our opinion).

It is not directly operated by, or affiliated with, any group, organization or association. However, one of its goals is to increase the speed at which the ILA can perform its duties for those in the Western part of the United States, and to encourage the formation of a West Coast chapter of the ILA.

We support the Institutional Locksmiths Association, the Associated Locksmiths of America and all other professional Locksmithing Associations. In the "career path" section we separated the information for those seeking an institutional path from those seeking other Locksmithing careers to make it easier for a person to make better decisions about their next logical steps, and to be aware of any restrictions or obstacles in that path.

Even once the ILA forms a West Coast chapter(assuming that occurs), this forum, while serving it as well, will not be directly affiliated with it.

Because we support education, we will also support the ILCP and PRP programs and any similar efforts and try to get related information on here as quickly as possible.
